The Place

The Drowned Chapel is a thin place—a spot where the wall between the ordinary world and what waits behind it has worn to a wet skin. Standing water that never drains, candle smoke that never clears, and beneath it all a sound like a choir holding one long note. People go in to bargain with what answers. Most do not come back the same.

Why It Matters

Thin places are where The Rot presses hardest and where Dee does her ugliest work. The Chapel is the worst of them that anyone will name.
